Oh yes it is! On 2nd September 2015, two kilograms of rocket seed (Eruca sativa) travelled from Baikonur, Kazakhstan on the Soyuz 44S rocket to the International Space Station (ISS). The seeds have been stored in microgravity by Tim Peake and returned to Earth with Scott Kelly in early March.
On Monday 18th April four year 7 pupils had a once in a lifetime opportunity by joining pupils and staff at St Richards Catholic College in Bexhill on Sea for a live amateur radio link to Tim Peake aboard the International Space Station. The students visited a pop up planetarium and an exhibit from local universities, amateur radio enthusiasts and the UK Space Agency before settling down to await the live call.
